
Australia’s first pill testing service has found some methamphetamine was sugar and some cocaine didn’t contain any of the drug at all.
Researchers from The Australian National University analysed 58 samples dropped at Canberra’s CanTest Health and Drug Checking service.
The drugs included ketamine, MDMA, heroin, methamphetamine and cocaine.

“Results from the first month of the service provide a fascinating window on the local drug scene,” Associate Professor Malcolm McLeod said.
