A police investigation has been launched after a second suspected firebombing at a suburban house in just a matter of days, ruining a luxury car.
Emergency services were called to the Barnards Ave house at Hurstville in Sydney’s south in the early hours of Tuesday morning following reports of a car fire.
Police found a white Mercedes convertible ablaze upon arrival, with six NSW Fire and Rescue crews called in to attend the fire.
The blaze took the crews 20 minutes to extinguish.
The $300,000 vehicle was completely destroyed, while the house suffered minor cosmetic damage to its outer walls and some windows blown out.
