A gym formerly belonging to far-right commentator Avi Yemini has been set alight in Melbourne‘s south-east.

Firefighters were called to the suspicious fire on Hawthorn Road in Caulfield North, just after 5am today where they found the gym fully ablaze.

The fire was so intense it threatened nearby buildings, forcing the evacuation of dozens of residents and a restaurant nearby.
