
A code yellow is in effect the country’s coastal areas this morning and afternoon as heavy wind blows through the Netherlands.
KNMI reports that the wind from the southwest will be “fairly strong to strong”, with the coastal areas and the IJsselmeer experiencing a stronger wind force of 7-8, “hard to stormy”, with gusts reaching 75-90 km/h and possibly 90-100 km/h at sea.
The day will be mostly cloudy, with showers and possibly thunderstorms, especially in the west. In the east, the sun will be visible Friday afternoon.
The maximum temperature will be around 15°C. Tomorrow the weather is expected to be calmer.
